Webinar: Career Paths in Human Geography
Date and Time: Thursday, October 14, 2021 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm U.S. Eastern Time
Human Geography is the study of the interrelationships between people, place, and environment, and how these vary spatially and temporally across and between locations. While physical geography concentrates on spatial and environmental processes that shape the natural world and tends to draw on the natural and physical sciences for its scientific underpinnings and methods of investigation, human geography concentrates on the spatial organization and processes shaping the lives and activities of people, and their interactions with places and nature.
This panel will feature 3-6 professional geographers who will discuss their career paths and strategies for finding employment in human geography-related occupations. After introductions and brief remarks from the panelists, the second half will be reserved for open Q&A.
The session is co-sponsored with the Applied Geography Conference and will be featured within the AAG Regions Connect joint regional meetings.
